Lesson plans uploads

Willsub releases new Lesson Plan feature

Willsub now allows employees to attach lesson plans in the form of word processing, spreadsheet, and other documents, to individual leave requests.  Once an approved leave request is entered into the system, the employee may upload files while viewing the request detail screen by using the ‘Select File’ and ‘Upload File’ buttons as shown in Figure 1.

Figure 1.

The allowable file types to be uploaded are Microsoft Word (.doc and .docx), Microsoft Excel  (.xls and .xlsx), Portable Document Format (.pdf), Images (.jpg), and text documents (.txt).  The maximum file size is currently 250 Kbytes.

Clicking the ‘Choose File’ button will bring up the standard file open screen, allowing the employee to select a file on their computer to be uploaded.  If the selected file is not one of the allowable types, or if the file exceeds the maximum allowable size, an error will be generated.  Once the file is chosen, clicking the ‘Upload File’ button will upload the file to the leave request.  If the leave request is for multiple days, the lesson plans will be available to the substitute for all the days of the request.  Once the file is uploaded, it will be listed below the ‘Upload File’, and may be downloaded by the employee, or deleted in the case that the wrong file was uploaded, as shown in Figure 2.

Once a substitute accepts a request that has lesson plans attached, they will see a paperclip icon next to the Request Reference on their home page as shown in Figure 3.

When the substitute views the request detail on a job that has lesson plans attached, they can be downloaded by clicking on the file, as shown ion Figure 4.

The lesson plans are also available for download to district and building managers on their respective request detail screens.
