    HOURS: Up to 40 hours a week depending on enrollments

    QUALIFICATIONS: - State Child Care Licensing Requirements for Lead Caregiver (Preferred)

    -Infant Toddler Certification (Preferred)
    -Minimum 18 years of age
    -High School Diploma
    -Be of responsible character and suitable to meet the needs of children
    -Experience working with children
    -at least one (1) year child care experience preferred

    JOB -attend basic needs for children ages 2 weeks to 6 years old

    RESPONSIBILITIES: -assist with project time, snack and free play
    -positively interact with parents and children
    -assist in maintaining licensing requirements
    -perform other duties as assigned or appropriate

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: $8.50 per hour

    Job Description

     

    TITLE: Food Service – All Employees

     

    REPORTS TO:   Mary Ann Nielsen – Food Service Director

     

    JOB SUMMARY:

    This is a food service position involving the responsibility for all food service duties, including cooking, prep work, dish washing, general clean up, driving and serving food.

     

    DESCRIPTION OF WORK AND DUTIES:

    Records and Reports:

    Responsible for recording food production records.

     

    Physical Duties

    Needs to have the abiltiy to lift up to 50 lbs.

    Ability to withstand excessive bending, twisting, and lifting.

    Abitliy to reach and lift over the head and the abilty to reach in and out of ovens while preparing food.

    Can tolerate standing up to 7 hrs per day, with a 10 minute break after 3 hours worked.

     

    PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Possesses even temperament and ability to comprehend and carry out the objectives of the position in a way conducive to good personal relationships. Also possesses good judgment, good moral character, personal cleanliness, is courteous, neat, cooperative, tactful, dependable, honest and loyal.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma

    THIS IS A CONTRACTED POSITION WITH PCMI WEST

    SUMMARY OF POSITION: Day-to-day caretaking and supervising of children in addition to implementing the program
    activities for infant/young toddlers/preschool age children, 15-30 Hours per week

    REPORTS TO: Carrollton Child Care Director and Lead Care Giver

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Essential Skills:
    1. Ability to cooperate with teachers, students and administration
    2. Ability to keep all student and parent information confidential
    3. Ability to keep a positive attitude in working with student, parents, other staff members, and community members who visit Carrollton Public
    Schools facilities or programs
    4. Ability and willingness to lead activity programs or children
    5. Must be able to lift and restrain students when necessary
    6. Shall be of good character with high moral and ethical values
    7. To ensure a safe environment for students at all times
    8. To meet and greet visitors in a positive, helpful manner
    9. Other duties as assigned by the building principal/center director/lead caregiver

    MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Must be Highly Qualified
    a. Must possess an Associates Degree, or
    b. Must have passed the Work Keys test or
    c. Must possess 60 credit hours from a college or University
    2. Child Development Associate credentials preferred
    3. At least three years of experience working with infant/preschool/young toddler aged children
    4. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pound
    5. Excellent oral and written communications skills are required
    6. Ability to work well with staff, parents and students
    7. Must be willing to receive additional training to improve job skills
    8. Be at least 19 years of age
    9. Must satisfactorily pass:
    a. Law enforcement background check with fingerprinting
    b. Personal and professional reference background check
    10. Must receive a satisfactory response to P.A. 189 letter (Misconduct letter)
    11. Must possess or be willing to complete training to become Adult/Infant/CPR/First Aid Certified

    Dear Prospective Guest Teacher:

    Thank you for your interest in guest teaching at South Lyon Community Schools.

    We would like to invite you to our Guest Teacher Orientation on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. This will be held at the SLCS Administration Building, 345 S. Warren, South Lyon, Michigan 48178. Please email me at dropiewskik@slcs.us and let me know if you will be able to attend.

    South Lyon Community Schools contracts Guest Teachers through Professional Contract Management Inc. (PCMI). Before attending the orientation there are requirements you must complete. Please go to the PCMI website (www.pcmiservices.com), click the “TO APPLY NOW CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE APPLICATION” .

    If you are a retired teacher please email or call me directly regarding your processing – (you will not fill out the PCMI online application).

    On the day of orientation, please park on the south side of the building. You will need to bring the following documents with you:

    • Transcripts (Copy of Official)
    • Drivers License
    • Social security card (Birth Certificate or a valid passport are acceptable if you don’t have a social security card)
